HONORARY BLADERUNNER – Lake Superior State University President Peter Mitchell (right) takes cues from LSSU’s official Zamboni operator Jesse Burtt during a training session on Jan. 23 in Taffy Abel Ice Arena. Mitchell will be driving the machine after the first period of Friday night’s hockey game against Bowling Green. Mitchell won the honor by being top-bidder, along with staff accountant Craig Krouth, on a silent auction at this past summer’s Lake State Golf Classic that benefits Laker Club and LSSU Foundation Operations.
