The Lukenda School of Business at Lake Superior State University (LSSU) has been recognized among 84 business schools worldwide for its efforts to integrate artificial intelligence into business education as part of the July 2026 edition of A Framework for Artificial Intelligence in Business Education.
The report, developed by Inspire Higher Ed with support from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) and the Graduate Business Curriculum Roundtable, examines how business schools are approaching artificial intelligence curriculum, teaching, governance and student learning.
The initiative has expanded significantly, growing from 26 participating institutions one year ago to 84 institutions worldwide in the July 2026 edition, including 67 institutions in the United States.
Dr. Ralf Wilhelms, Professor and Director of the Professional MBA Program in LSSU’s Lukenda School of Business, has collaborated with the initiative over the past year, contributing to the research and sharing LSSU’s ongoing efforts in incorporating artificial intelligence into its business programs.
“Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing the way businesses operate and the skills employers expect from graduates,” said Dr. Wilhelms. “Our involvement gives LSSU an opportunity to share what we are doing, learn from other institutions, and contribute to the conversation about responsible and effective AI integration in business education.”
At LSSU, AI integration has focused on helping students understand how emerging technologies can be responsibly applied to business decision-making, marketing, management, finance, accounting, and organizational strategy.
The July 2026 report highlights how business schools are moving beyond simply adopting AI tools and are increasingly focusing on governance, defining AI competencies, and preparing students for an AI-enabled workforce. Through its participation, LSSU contributes to a broader national and international conversation about the future of business education.
“Being included among these institutions is a meaningful recognition of the work our faculty are doing to ensure our programs remain connected to the evolving needs of business and industry,” said Mindy McCready, Dean of the College of Professional Studies at LSSU. “We are committed to preparing Lakers to use emerging technologies thoughtfully, responsibly, and effectively.
The report provides individual profiles for participating schools, allowing institutions to share their approaches and learn from how peers are responding to the opportunities and challenges presented by artificial intelligence.
