The English and Communication Club is accepting submissions of writing (any genre), artwork, and photography for
Blurb (a monthly publication, no deadline) and Snowdrifts (an annual publication, deadline: Dec. 11). Send your writing submissions as Word documents or photos in jpeg format (color or b/w) to lssuenglishclub@gmail.com. Please indicate in which publication you want your work to appear. The LSSU Health Care Center will be holding an H1N1 vaccine clinic for the university community today while supplies last. The is the injection type of the H1N1 vaccine. Individuals should educate themselves regarding the vaccine and come prepared the day of the clinic. The Health Care Center's website includes links to the Center for Disease Control and the Chippewa County Health Department for information regarding the H1N1 vaccine. This clinic is available to all LSSU students, faculty, and staff, and it's free of charge with a valid LSSU ID. The clinic is for adults only and not available to spouses or children. As more vaccines become available, the center will be offering more clinics for others.
LSSU faculty and staff are welcome when John Tagg, one of the most respected and influential teaching and learning scholars presents The Learning Paradigm University. His publications and presentations are transforming colleges and universities across North America. A question-and-answer discussion will follow.
The Seamore Shuttle is a free service to students and staff of LSSU. The shuttle will take you to locations along the I-75 Business Spur, such as Family Video, Cascade Crossings and Varsity Cinema. During the school year, the shuttle runs from 6-10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 1-4 p.m. on Sunday. Pick-up and drop-off is at the Cisler Student and Conference Center.
What is a Laker Friday? Laker Fridays are an opportunity for LSSU alumni, students, employees, friends and area businesses to show their support of Lake Superior State University by donning LSSU colors and apparel. Whether its a gold suit coat, blue sweater, a Laker hockey jersey or a pair of Laker anchor earrings, dig it out and put it on come Friday, because every Friday is Laker Friday.
