Public Presentation - The Didymo Story: The role of low phosphorus in the formation of algal blooms

Description: Dr. Max Bothwell, international research scientist and leading expert on Didymosphenia geminata, will speak on historical and current understanding of Didymo (aka rock snot) blooms throughout the world. Didmyo, an algae, was recently identified in the rapids of the St. Marys River, and this is the first documented observation in Michigan waters.
