International Bridge Authority Construction Info Sessions
May 22nd, 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM
Description: The International Bridge Authority is inviting users of the bridge to two information sessions that will detail the $51 million construction projects that will begin at both ends of the bridge this summer. Most of the construction -- $44 million -- will take place at the Canadian Customs plaza, where the Canada Border Services Agency building will be rebuilt starting later this year and concluding sometime in 2016. On the U.S. side, the 50-year-old toll plaza will be rebuilt, starting in June and concluding in spring 2015. The toll plaza will be expanded from five toll lanes to seven. To find out more about the projects, you are encouraged to attend one of two public information sessions. Today's session is in Sault, Mich. Everyone is welcome.
