Laker Fridays

6:00 AM until 10:30 PM

Description: Laker Fridays are an opportunity for LSSU alumni, students, employees, friends and area businesses to show their support of Lake Superior State University by donning LSSU colors and apparel. Whether it's a blue suit coat, a gold sweater, a Laker hoodie or a pair of Laker anchor earrings, put it on come Friday, because every Friday is Laker Friday.

ETS Testing for Seniors

8:00 AM until 5:00 PM



Seniors: The ETS is an external measurement tool for all incoming freshmen and exiting seniors. The test is one tool that LSSU uses to assess its performance in the area of its general education programs. Taking this test adds value to your LSSU degree insofar as the university seeks to document its successes and improve its quality in response to this measure. As LSSU continues to assess its general education outcomes through approved courses required of students, you can be of great help in this process by taking the ETS test. To take the test, contact Carol Boger. Please bring a photo ID with you and please allow 60 minutes for the exam. Thank you for your help!

Monday, 3/11: 9, 9:30, 10, 10:30, 11, 11:30 a.m., 12, 12:30 p.m.

Math, Computer Science Faculty Candidate Presentation

10:00 AM until 4:00 PM


Description: The School of Mathematics and Computer Science will be hosting faculty candidates on campus today and Monday, March 11. Today, Grace Ngunkeng, a PhD candidate from Bowling Green State University, will be visiting campus. At 10 a.m., she will be giving a classroom presentation in MATH 308: Probability and Mathematical Statistics related to the Central Limit Theorem. This presentation will be in CAS 210. At 3 p.m., in CAS 205, she will be making a presentation related to her PhD thesis topic, "Statistical Analysis of Skew Normal Distributions and its Applications." Everyone is welcome.

Seamore Shuttle

6:00 PM until 10:30 PM

Organization: Campus Life Office

Description: The Seamore Shuttle is a free service provided by the LSSU Campus Life Office that takes LSSU students downtown and to places on the business spur such as Family Video, Big Lots and other stores in the Sault Plaza, as well as Varsity Cinemas. Pick-up and drop-off is at the Walker Cisler Center. Shuttle runs from 6-10:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 1-10:30 p.m. on Sunday.

CJFSA Meeting

6:00 PM until 7:00 PM

Organization: CJFSA

Description: Join us for this Criminal Justice Fire Science Alliance meeting, where we will discuss coming events such as the Thin Blue Line 5k, Ultimate Fire Challenge, and our Relay for Life Team. The meeting is open to all students in the school of Criminal Justice, Fire Science, and Emergency Medical Services.

Laker Cinema presents: Wreck It Ralph

9:00 PM until 11:00 PM

Organization: Campus Life

Description: A video game villain wants to be a hero and sets out to fulfill his dream, but his quest brings havoc to the whole arcade where he lives. You'll have three opportunities to see this Laker Cinema presentation: 9 p.m. on Thursday and 9:45 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
