Coordinator of Student Life – Brigitte Ledferd M.A.,
Brigitte Ledferd is a dedicated higher education professional committed to empowering students and creating environments where they can thrive academically, socially, and personally. With a strong foundation in student development, curriculum design, and holistic advocacy, she brings a passion for equity, access, and meaningful engagement to her role as Coordinator of Student Life at Lake Superior State University.
Brigitte’s experience spans student affairs leadership, restorative justice practices, learning support, and university governance. She has served in roles across multiple institutions, including the University of Iowa and the University of Wisconsin–River Falls, where she facilitated student learning workshops, strengthened campus partnerships, supported conduct processes, and championed student wellbeing. Her background also includes involvement in student government, where she advocated for policy improvements and fostered collaborative leadership cultures.
Brigitte holds a Master of Arts in Educational Policy and Leadership Studies from the University of Iowa and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and Criminology from the University of Wisconsin–River Falls. Her work is driven by a deep belief in student motivation, persistence, and the power of holistic scaffolding to support self‑actualization.
Above all, Brigitte is energized by helping students find community, build confidence, and discover joy in their college experience.
