The Information Technology Department at Lake Superior State University supports the technology needs of our students, faculty, and staff across campus. Our department is made up of dedicated teams who manage everything from classroom
technology and network infrastructure to cybersecurity, enterprise applications, and user support
services. Whether it’s setting up a new laptop, ensuring secure access to university systems, or
developing tools to support academic success, we’re here to help.

What We Do

  • Enterprise Applications: Support and manage core systems like Banner and CRM; provide updates and user assistance.
  • Help Desk & User Support: Troubleshoot technical issues and provide day-to-day IT assistance.
  • Infrastructure & Networking: Maintain reliable campus connectivity, Wi-Fi, servers, and storage.
  • Cybersecurity: Protect the university’s digital resources and data through proactive monitoring and user awareness.
  • Classroom & Instructional Tech: Support and enhance technology in learning environments.
  • Project & System Management: Implement and maintain scalable, strategic IT solutions for long-term campus benefit.
