I.T. Helpdesk

The I.T. Helpdesk is dedicated to supporting Lake Superior State University students by
providing friendly, knowledgeable assistance with their technology needs. Whether it’s
troubleshooting login issues, helping set up email and Wi-Fi, or guiding students through
software installations, our team is here to make the tech side of campus life as smooth as
possible. We know how important reliable access to digital resources is for academic success,
and we strive to offer prompt, respectful service—whether in person, over the phone, or by
email. Our goal is to empower students with the tools and knowledge they need to stay
connected and confident in using campus technology.

Software Made Simple

Students at Lake Superior State University have access to a robust software library designed to
support their academic and communication needs. This includes free downloads of Microsoft
365 for creating and collaborating on documents, as well as Zoom for virtual classes and
meetings. These tools are available at no additional cost and can be installed on personal devices,
making it easy for students to stay connected and productive wherever they are.

Tech Spaces for Student Success

Campus computer labs are available to all students and provide access to high-speed internet, printers, and a wide range of academic software. Whether you need a quiet place to study, complete assignments, or print a paper, our labs are a convenient resource across campus.

No Laptop? No Problem.

Students can check out laptops from the library using their student ID for short-term academic use. These laptops come pre-installed with essential software, including Respondus LockDown Browser, making them a convenient option for taking online tests and completing coursework. It’s a helpful resource for students who need a reliable device while on campus.
