SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. – Lake Superior State University’s Kinesiology Club will host its annual GLSW 5K Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, Oct. 24, during Great Lake State Weekend. The event starts at 9 a.m. at the Victory Bell in front of the Norris Center, where the race will finish.
Open to participants of all ages and fitness levels, the 5K aims to build community, promote physical activity, and encourage participation throughout LSSU’s Great Lake State Weekend.
Registration is $25 for participants who preregister and $30 for day-of registration. Those who register before Oct. 1 will receive a race T-shirt. Following the race, participants can enjoy door prizes, while medals will be awarded to podium finishers.
Proceeds from the event support LSSU Kinesiology Club initiatives, including the Hat and Mitten Holiday Drive, professional conference opportunities for club members, and the club’s 3v3 Basketball Tournament.
“We’re thrilled to invite members of the LSSU and local community to join us for the annual fun run,” said Izzy Yeoman, President of the Kinesiology Club. “Great Lake State Weekend is the perfect time to get active and involved!”
