The MASC Lab user group is a multi-institutional research consortium consisting of researchers from Lake Superior State University, Northern Michigan University, Central Michigan University, Algoma University, Baton Rouge Community College, Sault Sainte Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians, the United States Forest Service (USDA), and Mackinac State Historic Parks.
