We are excited to help you with your academic needs. This semester, all tutoring appointments will be scheduled through LSSU Brainfuse. To ensure a productive tutoring session, please follow the instructions below:
Scheduling an in-person session with an LSSU Tutor
- Log in to your LSSU 24/7 online tutoring account with your My.LSSU username and password: https://landing.brainfuse.com/saml.asp?oauth_consumer_key=43441FD0
- To schedule a tutoring session with an LSSU tutor, select “Tutor Match.“
- Select the Topic and Subject you need help with.
- Choose the appropriate tutor based on their availability and expertise.
- Schedule a tutoring session at a time that works for you.
- If you cannot find a tutor or time that works for you, please fill out our Tutoring Appointment Request form at https://forms.gle/yECSHZh4HEtVnhqA8
Scheduling an appointment with LSSU 24/7 Online Tutoring (Brainfuse)
- Log in to your LSSU 24/7 online tutoring account with your My.LSSU username and password: https://landing.brainfuse.com/saml.asp?oauth_consumer_key=43441FD0
- Select “Live Help.“
- Select the Topic and Subject you need help with and click “Connect.”
- Wait for the tutor to join the session. They will initiate the conversation.

Tips for maximizing the impact of tutoring
- Communicating with your Tutor
- Be respectful and actively engage in the session. Remember that the tutor’s job is to assist you by answering questions and explaining concepts that you bring to the session!
- Clearly explain the areas you need help with or the questions you have.
- Ask for clarification if you don’t understand something the tutor explains.
- Participate in discussions and ask questions to enhance your understanding.
- Using the Interactive Whiteboard in virtual sessions
- The tutor may use an interactive whiteboard to explain concepts visually.
- Follow the tutor’s instructions on using the whiteboard tools (drawing, highlighting, typing, etc.).
- Feel free to interact with the whiteboard by adding your own notes or annotations.
- Reviewing Concepts
- If the tutor covers a lot of material during the session, ask for a quick summary or recap to ensure you grasp the key concepts.
- Take notes during the session for future reference and review.
- Wrapping up the Session
- Toward the end of the session, summarize what you’ve learned and ensure you understand the main points.
- Ask the tutor for additional practice exercises or resources to reinforce your understanding.
- Provide feedback on the session if prompted.
- Post-Session Review:
- After the session, review your notes and any additional resources provided.
- Attempt the practice exercises or problems discussed during the session.
- If you have further questions, consider scheduling another tutoring session.
