3rd Party Sponsorship Plan

Many organizations, government agencies, and community programs recognize the importance of higher education and are committed to supporting students through sponsorship opportunities. Lake Superior State University partners with third-party sponsors to assist students in covering educational expenses, making college more accessible and affordable.

Students who receive financial support from an external sponsor—such as an employer, military program, tribal organization, or government agency—may be eligible for the Third-Party Sponsorship Program. This program allows approved sponsors to make direct payments toward tuition and fees on behalf of the student. Please contact the Business Office for more details on eligibility and the application process.”

To utilize these benefits with the University each semester:

    1. Students must be admitted to Lake Superior State University.

    2. Students must enroll in the semester/term.

    3. The 3rd Party Sponsor must provide the Business Office with a Letter of Authorization detailing the specifics of what expenses will be covered for a specific term.
